Q) Where are you go to Holiday,and where you wish to go (and can t because you have a low budget,or need visa,or something else)? I go to Palic Lake,near by Subotica....In mine country Serbia....... I wish to travel to Adraitic sea...Island Mljet in Croatia (neighbourhoods)....But not this year...Unfortunately ..........Maybe next year : )))

A) At the moment we holliay in the UK as my husband hasnt got a passport and mine needs renewing.. all costs too much, plus we're looking to buy a house I wold love to go to Iceland though,and Canada, and Croatia, and China... many places!

time travel?

A) Very good question, Tony Blair apparently thinks he's the second coming of Jesus the way he appears to make himself above the law and insists we stick to it, I really don't know how he has the nerve to tell us peasant's to cut down on travel by car let alone by air, do you know it costs £15,000 per day for black cab use alone for his MPs to travel round London and the travelling he and his MPs have done in this last 3 months has caused more pollution than we could possibly have caused in our lifetime, sorry but I for one aren't going to listen to someone like him telling me to cut back on travel, I get on a plane once a year and twice if I am very lucky, we have to save really hard for our holidays, he gets freebies and if he wants us to cut down on pollution then let him be an example to us all and get on his bike, doubt he will do that either.

I wanna travel round NZ, any good companys or info I should know?

Q) I'm 22 and plan to travel round New Zealand for about 2-3 months this time next year (I'm hoping Sept til the end of Dec) but not sure where to start to find the best deals....and how much money I should save (obviously the more the better but I will be on a budget, no 5* hotels for me) I want to stop off in Malaysia, and pop to Singapore for a week(ish) then spend most my time travelling round NZ (back packing and hostels) then another week or so in Sydney. Then back home to London in time for Christmas..... Can anyone suggest a good travel company for flights and travel around New Zealand (I'm thinking coach or train as I can't drive and don't plan to inbetween now and then) Also any general tips when travelling would be appriciated. A) Great itinerary! I've done this trip a number of times. First, travel agents - try Trailfinders, Travelbag, Bridge the World, or Ebookers for the best prices with the most convenient (ie amendable) tickets. Although Travelbag and Ebookers are essentially the same company, Travelbag frequently has better prices with Malaysia Airlines. Which leads us to the next point - which airline will give you the best deal with this itinerary? You should be looking at Malaysia Airlines, Singapore Airlines, British Airways or Air New Zealand. These will all provide you with free stopovers in either Singapore or Malaysia. I'd suggest looking at an openjaw flight - flying in to Auckland and then flying out of Sydney. I'd get quotes with your travel agent for flights from Christchurch to Sydney and from Singapore to KL (or wherever you intend to go in Malaysia) but also check out airline sites. When I go to New Zealand, I always fly from Auckland to Palmerston North to visit friends, and I book my internal flight on the Air New Zealand website in NZ (rather than the UK site) and collect my tickets at the airport. Last time, I saved £300 doing this. For Singapore / Malaysia, look at Berjaya or Air Asia - they're the easyjet of the region and can be very cheap. Could go into loads of detail about Malaysia, but I don't want to bore you to death... I used to live there and absolutely love the country - places to see are KL, Penang, Langkawi, Kuching, Malacca, Kota Kinabalu, Ipoh... but avoid the East Coast and the Cameron Highlands at Christmas time as it's the rainy season there and it gets seriously soggy. Have a fab time!

Q) Hi am looking for travel friends who enjoy ships and cruises no frills kinda "stelios" easycruise type stuff~easycruise now taking booking for caribbean island hopping at great prices. any1 adventurous wanna share suite/cabin with/out balcony, must be down to earth female/s or A I-would-have-to-get-you-know-first-kinda-man/men, thats normal even with woman you gotta trust each other, plus any other weekend breaks etc due to boring friends with husbands/young children OR the ones who only like to sit by pool as oppposed to beach boats ships and ports. Travel Insurance for Wedding Dress ?

Q) My fiance is travelling back to Canada in two weeks to buy the wedding dress for our wedding next year, which she will be bringing back on her return flight. In the light of the recent heightened security at British Airports, there is a chance she will have to put the dress in the hold of the aircraft. If she does this, would travel insurance cover this ? Most travel insurance companies I have looked at, give a figure of approximately £250 cover for individual items, which is I do not think is enough to cover a dress. Does anyone have any experience of this ? Any info or views would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks in advance GW

Travel insurance?

Q) We are due to go to America for a family gathering in March 2008 - we have to book our tickets now due to a very good deal going on. A) Yes, depending on the company you chose to insure for - one thing worth noting is that many travel insurers won't cover you for a trip so far in the future - I just checked travel insurance and you are only allowed to buy cover for trips starting in the next 9 months...

Travel Advice: Perth to Darwin?

Q) Myself and my boyfriend are currently travelling around Australia. We are in Perth and planning our trip up North, we were going to take a camper van all the way up but were informed by many travel agents that we were missing out on The Highlight of Australia "The Kimberleys". So after a bit of research we booked a 9 day trip through the Kimberleys which is costing 1400 dollars. We now need to travel from Perth to Broome, we had our hearts set on getting a campervan but now it is working out as expensive for the camper van up as far as Broome as it would have been to Darwin, around 2200, which includes a one way drop off fee of over 600 dollars, bummer I know. So has anybody any advise on best way to do this? We dont want to do bus journey as we wanted to take around 3 weeks to get to Broome, then do the 9 day trip through the Kimberleys, spend a few days in Darwin and also do a trip to kakadu, which is an additional 400 dollars. WE are just looking for some good advice

A) Why don't you buy yourself and old Ford or Holden, either a station waggon or panel van and put a foam mattress in the back and some blankets and drive yourself. Then you can sleep in the back and sell it on after you have finished your trip. If you look in the Quokka or in the hostels you should find one fairly cheap. You could then do the same to sell it. This is how I travelled around most of WA when I was a Teenager as it was the cheapest.

time travel?

Q) people think that time travel is impossible, but what about time travel in your dream? I had a dream that i travelled back in time and it was real. i could feel and see everything, but they could not see me. when i talked they could not here me none neither. how can i control where i go to next time?

A) I dream the future sometimes, it is uncanny often it is symbolistic and usually a warning of something unpleasant. I would trade with you in an instant.

Holiday travel cot?

Q) I am going to spain in August, i have a 3 year old son, who will be in a bed and my other son will be 1 years and 4 months old,, i am looking for a travel cot that is easy to take away and is not to heavy to put on the plane, i have a normal graco travel cot but it is too heavy. so if any one knows of any good small, light weight, travel cots and where to buy them from it would be very greatful. .

A) Most of the time your accommodation - i.e. hotel or apartment will provide travel cots - they don't expect you to have to bring large items like this over on the plane! I would check first with your accommodation provider or travel agent (or whoever you booked the holiday through) because they will most likely have one. All other travel cots are pretty much the same weight and size as the Graco ones but you can get sleeping bags and small travel mattresses at places like Mothercare :)

time travel part 2?

Q) There is a paradox in the whole time travel situation, if indeed it will be possible to travel back in time in the future, wouldn't we know it? By now wouldn't someone have came back in time to inform the past that there will be time machines in the future?If in fact there will be time travel in the future then what would stop some one from going back to say the birth of our nation, giving our founding fathers all kinds of up to date history books and technology and making America the only country in the world, there would also be a butterfly effect in time, because every action that the founding fathers would do to change the future would cause a new version of the same history book that the time travelers brought back, untill inevitably the book would say, "America wins all, end of story", or they would screw up the future so bad that there would be no time travel and the meeting would never take place. If there was time travel into the past and delicate information was obtained from the time traveler, then if the recipient of thus said delicate information acted upon this information in a way that changed the time travelers history to where time travel was not invented, then the recipient would not know of it and the meeting would have never happened. In theory, if time travel is created in the distant future, and lets say that the creator's great, great, great, great grandfather was killed in the towers on 9/11. Now if the first thing that the creator wanted to do is right this wrong and stop the twin towers from being hit, then most likely he would go back in time to eliminate the terrorist before they could attack, most likely he would kill them while they were children since children are less able to protect themselves from danger or death. Well, what if the creator did not take into consideration that upon 9/11 his great, great, great, great grandfather's son was upset about the death of his father and joined the military to avenge his father, and while in the middle east he met a woman, who unknown to him was a daughter of one of the terrorist, and he had relations with her and they brought forth a son from this that would become the creator's great, great grandfather. That means that if he went back in time to right the wrong, his great, great, great, great grandfather would not have died, his great, great, great grandfather would not have gone to war, met the woman, who does not exist now, since her father died as a kid, and brought forth his son, who is the creator's great, great grandfather, meaning that now the creator does not exist. Wow, so not only did 9/11 not happen now, but time travel will not happen either.

A) The laws of physics do not allow for it. It's inconsistent with quantum mechanics and relativity. I can't imagine being somewhere before I left for it.

Travel passes for Italy?

Q) I am planning to visit Italy as a tourist. My plan includes staying in Rome. Then travelling to Pisa and then finally travel to Venice from Pisa. As you can understand this would involve a lot of travel within the cities (by either bus or Metro) and also intercity travels, preferrably by Trains. Can you please suggest if there is any all inclusive travel pass that i can use for this purpose. I am aware of a Euro rail pass, but that is not the kind of thing i am looking for. I need one combined pass that would enable me to trabvel both within city as well as intercity. I have travelled in Switzerland and have used a pass like this. It is normally valid for 4 days and enables you to travel all kinds of transport. There is also a discount in special transport tickets in site seeing location. Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.

A) There isn't a pass like this. You can buy all your point-to-point tickets at one time from an automated machine at the first train station you visit, however. Train travel in Italy is very cheap and it's always cheaper to buy point-to-point than passes.

Do Mexicans ever travel abroad( i don't, my family doesn't)????

Q) I ihave family in mexico and relatives in the usa. I hear and know many Americans travel to Europe, to Hawaii. to Asia.. even some college students to CABO(San lucas)... I also know Japanese people travel alot, europeans also travel.. Maybe even mexicans from Mexico city,,,, but how about regular hard working mexicans. I never ever see any tourist from mexico, i also know my family doesn' travel..Yes i do hear about mexican actors, and stars who travel but that's obvious.. So why don't average mexicans travel, like your average american travels or like your average Japanese travels? the japanese people for example, they always tell me they are not rich, but they travel.. how's that?

A) Maybe because if they traveled outside of Mexico, they'd miss out on their daily siesta.

Meanwhile I am enjoying my ride and remember I'm riding very fast. So anyway I come home at about twenty five to eleven, my friends are all worried and stuff, they're like 'WTF@&! Where u bin!?' And I'm like 'Chill y'all just gone for a ride man' Anyway when I came back home that night it just felt like time travel could so be possible if I had been travelling at a much faster speed and I mean a lot faster speed. I mean my friends were just sitting there at home not doing much and I was out there experiencing so much and discovering new places with my bike in what just about 57 mins or so? And when I came back home they were like where u bin for so long? Whereas for me it had only felt like it was ten fifteen mins. Do u understand where I'm coming from? A) I Believe that you were just having fun and lost track of time on yer bike and I'm happy for ya! However answering your question I do not believe time travel through any method means or medium is possible. Time as we refer to it is a type of measurement borne directly of human conceptualization and the need humans have developed to know everything to reduce the feeling of mortality that comes hand in hand with humanity. Time is a force exerted on all things in the multiverse. I call it a multiverse because I believe that there are several parallel and dissimilar dimensions and continuums that exist and we are incapable of existing on them or fathoming them because we exist on a level of energy where physical matter is the prevalent existence and we are therefore incompatible with those other planes of energy. But true 'time' is a force exerted on all things, not a barrier or dimension to made or broken by machines or induced mediums. People are fascinated with the concept of time travel because to be human means to constantly seek answers and/or questions, and it is a pretty awesome query. A) i think this is easier to understand: let say u have a very very powerful aircraft that is able to reach a speed record where it can travel around the earth faster than erath evolving itself from point to point to complete 24 hours per round cycle. you take off from california at 2pm tuesday, moving around the earth towards japan (west) and complete the cycle in less than 24 hours, let say u can make it in 18 hours. so you are 6 hours earlier and u should arrive at the same take off point at exactly 6am. you are forwarded by 6 hours where it should take 24 hours earth time. you arrived 6 hours earlier to see the future because the body should be still flying in the aircraft because the aircraft cant move faster than earth. so if your aircraft can move faster and able to round the globe in shortest time possible you can see days forward or even years, just by travelling faster than the earth took to complete it's cycle.
