I would get a great kick out of filling out a 'police report' and taking a black marker, and crossing out the case # names/addresses of 'people involved', and all other 'important information.' It would read something like this: At 12:03 PM, ------ ------ was sitting in a 1994 Plymouth Acclaim registered to---- ----- in the parking lot of --- ----- Avenue. Victim was killed by 2 gunshots to the chest, according to the Medical Examiner ---- -------
- Officer -------
OK. So would there by anything illegal about this? I can't imagine, since there is actually no relevant information to support anything on this one.
I am pretty sure I will get many answers saying 'Yes, I *think* it is illegal.' or 'No, I don't think it is illegal, but I don't know.'
Please don't answer if you don't know... plenty of other pages 2 get 2 points. Some girls believe anything, you know... Perhaps some ketchup as supporting 'evidence'
A) If you fill out a report, it becomes a legal document once it is signed ...
leave the signature blank and then cover with the black marker (nothing scribbled underneath) and it is just a piece of paper - and a great "April Fool's joke".

A) http://www.policeauctions.com/?Refer=polic5214Pros & cons -buying a car at a police auction .?Q) What pointers would you give a teenager before going to a police auction to buy a used car?
A) Take an adult with you that has some moxie about cars. Police auctions (in some areas and states) is the last place to go car shopping. The private market is still best as it currently is a buyers market in most parts of the country. Goodwill auctions are pretty good as are other faith based organizations. There are several on-line services as well as the local auto trading post mags. Generally, police send cars to their contracted impound yards so the only cars they have to auction are those that have been held as evidence from some crime case and the "history" of one of those cars is not the best source for a teen to get that first car.Police Car Auctions?Q) Someone answered one of my questions with a gov't car auction, this just might be the best idea for me, because, I don't have a lot of money. And I would like to get one, before the summer ends, so that I can have my own car and not have to depend on others to drive me around.
Can anyone tell me about police car auctions?
Are there any draw backs to doing it?
A) With police car auctions, it's a Buyer Beware sale. They guarantee nothing about the car. If you buy it and it's a lemon, too bad. With Gov't surplus, if they state the car is good, and it isn't, they are obligated to take the car back if you don't want it. I know that from co-workers who bought Gov't auction cars and had a bad transmission not listed, he got his money back. There are also Impound cars sold by private towing companies, again, these are Buyer beware sales, no guarantees on the car being good, but you can get some good deals, and some cheap transportation. But you better be prepared for lemonade! LOL.Does anyone know of any police car auctions/auctions in Los Angeles?Q) My car broke down last week and I need/have to get something in a hurry, I heard police car auctions were something I should look into.
Also, If you have any tips on what I should look for and how to possible get the best deal. If you know of any other auctions that would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
A) I was in a similar situation and I did some research trying to find seized cars. It turned out that I actually was able to buy a car from the Department of Energy. There are a ton a federal auctions all over the country. According to federalgovernmentsales.com, there are over 15 different government departments that have auctions regularly.
I hope this helps.
