look up to the moon, look up to earth ! whats that all about...?

Q) as we stand on the earth we can look up to the moon....ok but if you could stand on the moon, you would have to look up to see the earth.....what that all about then !!!!

A) You're only looking up from your own point of view though. If you're in the UK and the moon is on the other side of the planet and the Australians are looking up at the moon, from your perspective they're looking down. We're all upright, upside down, sideways, or whatever, depending on what part of the Earth you're on. It's all relative.

Can dogs look up?

Q) I've never questioned a dogs ability to look up until watching "Shaun of the Dead". Ed claims that dogs can't look up. When he says look up I believe he means straight up. None of this, their head is a little bit up buisness. But come to think of it I don't think I ever have seen a dog look up. Is it possible? If so can you provide some proof for me?

A) of course they can look up!! they catch balls and frisbees dont they????

Q) I know we can look up a unknown word in a dictionary, how about a tel num. in the yellow book? can we say look for the number or look up the number? I am puzzling..... tons of thanx.

A) I'm sure you can say either, I would know what you mean (though I am sure some wouldn't)

How do I look for someone who was given up for adoption over 30 years ago?

Q) my mother in law gave her daugther up for adoption over 30 years ago when life was hard and she could not afford to look after her. But she has never forgiven herself for doing it and she has never given up hope of trying to find her. She has been emotionally and mentally affected over the last 30 odd years over this. She has got drunk, cried herself to sleep at nights and she just wants to put some sort of 'closure' to this painful chapter of her life and to meet the daughter she unwillingly gave up all those years ago. She apparently heard from someone that since it was her who gave the baby up in the first place, she does not have any rights to look for her. If her daughter decided that she wanted to be reunited with her mother, then only she has the right to look for her mother. How true is this and how can I go about helping her fulfil her life-long dream? Please help me!

A) I placed a child for adoption 14 years ago, myself, so I can understand what she's going through. As for finding her daughter, she has the right to search but she needs to be prepared for the fact that her daughter has the right to decide whether or not she wants to meet her. Also, many states now have registries where birth parents and adopted children can sign up (and they are mostly retroactive, so no matter when the child was placed, they can use the registry). The way these registries work, if both sign into it, a meeting will be arranged and they usually provide some sort of counciling before a meeting occurs. Have her check with the state or if she went through an agency, with the agency she placed through and they should be able to tell her if that exists in that state. Also, 30 years ago, they just expected the birth mothers to just give up their children and "go on with their lives". This being next to impossible for most of us, I'd suggest that whether she looks for or not, finds her daughter or not, she get some therapy so that she can better deal with the grieving she's been going through for the last 30 years.

look up keys?

Q) when in navigate away from my home page and try to get back in to it or try to download some programs or try to log in to some sites or use my favourites bar i cannot get them as i get a message saying the requested look up key cannot be found in any active activation context what does this mean can anyone help me fix this problem as it is really annoying HELP

A) I'm not sure exactly what is happening but I have a suggestion that will help you. When you go to a page or site that you want to go back to later, add it to your book marks or favorites list. then when you navagate away from the page, you can click the bookmarks and go directly to it from there. I do this with my 2 websites that I own and also for my e-mails it saves a lot of headaches, including forgetting the addresses. They are alway there , and only a click away. Hope this helps alittle.

How do I use make-up to make myself look 75 (I'm in a play)?

Q) I'm in my 20s, but I'm playing the part of a pensioner in a play. I tried drawing lines and wrinkles on my face with eyeliner pencil, but at first it looked stripey, then I blended it and just ended up looking dirty! I don't want to buy a load of theatrical make-up just for a couple of performances, so can anyone tell me how to look convincingly older using the contents of the average make-up bag? Also I've been told that my skin tone is too fresh, so what colour would make it look tired and dull?

A) Talc in the hair to make it look grey , brown shadow under the eyes will age you , redden your face with a bit of blusher to look like your a drinker , buy a grey false moustache. done.

Can dogs look up with their eyes?

A) Hi, your friend is wrong, they can & do look up with their eyes. A) truthfully... the beach look is simple.. you want to look airy and refreshing. so i would suggest either a shimmery brown or a faint pink color for your eyes. you want get good concealer, use bronzer on your forehead, cheeks and arch of nose. and along the outside of your face (your hair line) then after the bronzer, use a brownish pink blush just on cheek bone. then what i do to make it all look natural and glowing is to use a powder ( i use cover girl) but not the pressed one. and i use a big blush brush to apply it. it doesnt take away the bronzer or blush it just makes it all go together. after all that finish with a shiny lip gloss in your fav color.... i prefer the ones from victoria secret. or bonne bell.. hope you like. let me know if it works for ya... remember the summer look is suposed to look flirty and natural not like you spent all day putting on makeup to go out!

everytime i look up ,i notice this guy?

Q) i see this guy looking at me.not everytime but sometimes.when we talk we have intense eye contact and even when we don't talk.i do try looking away but he just keeps looking right into my eyes.he makes me laugh and treats me with respect.he's a gentlemen and he keeps his word.it seems as though everytime i look up he is looking at me and he is an outgoing guy but when he is around me he becomes quieter lately.i haven't done anything to upset him he just gets like this sometimes.is he just being friendly.he smiles at me too right thru the conversation with the intense eye contact.

Hello! I am looking for some make-up tips on how to play up my gray-blue eyes to make them look more gray.?

Q) My eyes are naturally gray-blue but more towards the gray side. Of course, when i wear blue they look quite blue and when I wear gray the look quite gray. I would really like to know what shades of eye make-up can make them look more gray all the time? I've tried matte gray tones already thinking it would naturally bring out the gray color. Of course it did, however, with bright red hair, and fair skin with rosy undertones...it tended to look like I had just gotten a punch in the eye no matter how light I applied it...especially in natural daylight. So, any help with other options would be highly appreciated! Thanks!!

A) to make the grey in your eyes POP trying using a grey shimmer eye shadow. It's not like a dark grey it's like grey sparkles and it look great with black eye liner. Also work with colors that go with grey, like try using a light purple or something like that.

looking for a new look - make up, hair, etc..?

Q) I have champagne blonde hair (natural) with platinum streaks ($140 from the salon lol), blue/grey/green eyes, really fair white skin and i'm looking for a new way to apply make up to my eyes. I'm currently using natural base colors (light shimmers, and browns of different tones), brown eyeliner, and brownblack mascara, but i'm bored of the same look!!! I've had it since 7th grade! lol.. any advice on what other colors i could possibly use?? thanks in advance for the advice! also, i have really thin blonde hair... what would be a cute cut??

A) Soft-looking, porcelain skin looks just as pretty as tan skin! So... 1) Apply a light-weight mineral powder all over your face. 2) Lightly blush pink blush on your cheeks, then smooth it out with your fingers. 3) Take silver eyeshadow and line the inner corners of your eyes. (Like this: > <) 4) Put on a couple coats of brown mascara. 5) Take a little bit of berry colored lipstick and rub it on your finger, then rub it onto your lips. 6) Top with clear lip gloss. A) Go to classmates.com and look under his graduation year and then browse through Jorge's of that year. That way you can find his last name and look him up on MySpace or Zabasearch.com.

A) The sky is blue because the blue wavelengths of light are scattered more than the longer wavelengths.

look of your face after waking up?

Q) does your face look bad after you wake up? meaning that its like a little kind of swollen and pale or whatever like after a hangover or something. it takes a little time before it becomes firm and normal looking and fresh. do you have this with you too? or maybe im just not getting enough or getting to much sleep? haha

A) I just read about this in a magazine. It actually occurs when your sodium intake is really high the night or day before. Your body stores water when you eat a lot of salty food. We notice it first in our faces.
