A) As far as I am aware the only time you can have a 'cheap' mini cruise with one night ashore, is during 'off peak' times, usually end Oct. to end Mar. These are Mini Cruise breaks with such as D.F.D.S. out of North Shields (Newcastle) to Ijmuiden (Amsterdam). Bus into Amsterdam. Or with P&O out of Hull to Europoort (Rotterdam). From Rotterdam you have the choice of a bus to either Rotterdam or Amsterdam If you book a MiniCruise you have the chance to extend your stay for about an extra £10 . With some of them you can book a nights accomodation at the time of booking , but if not B&B is reasonably easy to get in Amsterdam. Enjoy your trip. Hope this helps. P.S. A) depends on where you be flying out of sweety, england or the us? you can look at some flights on www.easyjet.com www.ryanair.com usually those are very cheap my friend is flying over for easter and he flies in at eindhoven wich is cheaper than to fly in at amsterdam or fly in at rotterdam that is a lot cheaper as well, good luck
