do u think if i clean my lounge fitted carpet with a machine, it will dry given the current london weather?

A) Assuming you have central heating then yes! We washed all the carpets of our house in August, with a machine we rented from Wickes. It took an amazing amount of dirt out. It took about 24 hours to dry, but my wife went fairly crazy with the amount of water she sprayed on. The guy who rented it explained that the vaccum cleaner picks up about 70% of the water you spray on - which also means it will leave some of the shampoo behind. So: we just bought the house and it really needed it, but if you do it very often it will damage the carpet. Steam cleaning kills bacteria,etc but since it doesn't have a vacuum it won't pick up as much (you have to pick it up with the damp cloth attached to the steamer). So depends on the problem you are trying to solve

A) Hi. Not sure where you are in London, but I know an excellent carpet and Upholstery Cleaner in Berkhamsted. You can find his number in the Yellow Pages under Berkhamsted Carpet Cleaning, he does travel if its a big enough job. And best of all he is absolutely first class. (And by the way its not me or a family member just in case you were wondering!)
