Entry level job at investment banking?

Q) Hi, I'm a finance major senior at state school in NY (it's a low-tier school), I have and 2.8 gpa. My goal is to enter the investment banking world. Given my dubious academic background what do you guys think is the best way I can get into that industry. I'll be 26 when i graduate. I was thinking of getting my MBA after getting 4 or 5 years experience in banking then apply to a ibanking firm. I'll be in my 30's by then. I have heard that that is too old to be an analyst. Not sure what to do any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks

A) You need to take classes that you can do well in. Networking with your alumni can help in getting you up to speed on recruiting. If can't get a spot in an investment bank, try consulting, or business development. You'll need a good story about your GPA and have already taken classes that support your interest in investment banking.
