And we'er going to florida for our x-mas break and anerversary (Dec 28th) and i took her to the theater only a couple of weeks ago! A) Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing: Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it! The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle. Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard. Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it a homemade feeling.

Need gift ideas to buy my husband for our 1st year wedding anniversary?

Q) We are going out for a meal and to the casino and staying in a rather nice suite for the night (child free, yay!) so I can't get too much as thats already costing a bomb! Just need a token gift, I believe year 1 is paper?

A) Since the first year gift is paper I made my wife a cheque for our first anniversary present. I created a 'fake' cheque from the "Bank of Cupid tlc" and made it payable to my wife (obviously) and paid the sum of "All my love" and placed heart icons in the figure section. For the numbers on the cheque I used combinations of our birthdays and our wedding anniversary date. I spent some time putting it together using various programs to make it look nice and printed it on pink paper and sprayed a little of her favourite perfume on it. I then took her out to lunch and when the time came to pay the bill I place my cheque on it and passed it to her; I then paid my bill properly afterward - lol.

A) If you took a nice photo on your honeymoon or a trip that you've been on, or just a great photo you've taken, get it in a larger size (5x7 or 8x10) and get it put in a nice frame. (You can buy frames and matting for a reasonable price at stores like Michaels.) This goes along with the paper theme for your 1st anniversary.

A) Go buy some cheap candles and flowers, make them dinner, and set it up for them, that is if you have keys to their home and they aren't going out. Set up a romantic evening for them and then leave. Or make them up a cute picnic basket, that is if they live in an area that is nice during the middle of the summer. You could make a little photo album or scrapbook for them.

If you aren't interested in the tradition and want to save some money, you can always give him a book of coupons for personal services. A) the traditional is made of paper, the modern is a timepiece (watch, clock, sundial, etc.) also, they say to plan a trip together for the 1st anniversary. i would just get him something that would really mean a lot to him that he won't forget, and would remind him. in mexico, they usually just make a big gathering of family and friends, with the best food.
